Fenerbahçe, Ziraat Türkiye Kupası Finali’nde Başakşehir’i iki golle yenerek 9 yıl sonra şampiyonluğa ulaştı. Batshuayi, attığı gollerle takımına zaferi getiren isim oldu. Fenerbahçe had not won a championship in 9 years, since winning the Super Cup on August 25th, 2014.The match began with a bang as Batshuayi scored within the first minute, thanks to Arda’s pass, putting Fenerbahçe in the lead with a stunning shot past the goalkeeper. In the 29th minute, Arao crossed the ball from the right wing, which Batshuayi touched in with ease after the goalkeeper, Muhammed, failed to control it, taking the score to 2-0. In the 67th minute, Januzaj scored for Başakşehir, but the goal was disallowed due to a foul on the goalkeeper.The game was a nail-biter until the end, with Fenerbahçe emerging victorious and claiming the title. This marks a significant milestone in the club’s history, ending a long championship drought and paving the way for Fenerbahçe to achieve greater success in the future.

Fenerbahçe’nin son kupasının tarihi 25 Ağustos 2014’e dayanıyor. O dönem teknik direktörleri Ersun Yanal önderliğinde 2013-2014 sezonunda şampiyonluk kazandılar. Ancak sezonda sona erdikten sonra Yanal takımdan ayrıldı. İsmail Kartal’ın teknik direktörlüğünde, takımın TFF Süper Kupa maçına çıktığı Galatasaray’a karşı uzatmaların ardından penaltı atışları sırasında kazanarak kupayı kazandılar.Fakat o tarihten sonra Fenerbahçe, 2014-2015, 2015-2016, 2016-2017, 2017-2018, 2018-2019, 2019-2020, 2020-2021 ve 2021-2022 sezonları dahil olmak üzere hiçbir kulvarda şampiyon olamadı.
